General
With the HTA 66 pole pruner you have the right tool for thinning out tree crowns and cutting small and medium-sized trees. For professionals in tree care, orchards and local authorities, the lightweight and powerful pole pruner with maintenance-free, durable STIHL engine and powerful STIHL AP System offers the ideal combination for cutting branches up to 12 cm in diameter. The low-noise pole pruner also allows applications in noise-sensitive areas such as inner-city neighbourhoods.
The 1⁄4" PM3 saw chain offers high cutting performance, so you can make cuts easily and precisely and get a clean cut. Two rail variants of 25 cm or 30 cm enable perfect adaptation to your current tasks. The ergonomic control handle also allows intuitive control for both right-handed and left-handed users. With the battery centre of gravity in the shaft axis and the anti-slip guard on the shaft, you can safely hold and guide the HTA 66 during your work. The robust branch hook grips loose cuttings, which you can easily remove from the treetops. The semi-transparent oil tank allows you to keep an eye on the oil level at all times. The oil tank cap can be opened without tools for quick refilling.
The stable shaft, a total length of 240 cm and the low weight of only 3.8 kg make it possible to work effectively and comfortably with the HTA 66. The soft handle also increases working comfort.
All battery power tools within the STIHL AP System have been designed for professional users and daily work, even in adverse weather conditions. For this reason, they are certified as splashproof. The effectiveness of this is also verified through demanding internal tests. The splashwater test is aligned with the IPX4 standard, among others.

AP 500 S Battery
The STIHL AP system supports you in your daily tasks in gardening, landscaping and tree care. The battery's four LED lights keep you constantly informed about the charging status of the battery. Thanks to new power laminate technology, the STIHL AP 500 S battery offers twice the number of possible charging cycles compared to previous STIHL batteries.
The STIHL AP 500 S battery also has Bluetooth® technology integrated into the control module, allowing connection to STIHL Connected fleet management system. This gives you ongoing transparency aroand the operating times and battery charge status while connected to your smart phone or tablet. The AP 500 S is a 36 V battery, is compatible with the AL 300 charger, and STIHL AL 500 rapid battery chargers or recharge with the standard battery charger AL 101.
All battery tools within the STIHL AP system are designed for professional users and for daily use, even ander adverse weather conditions. Therefore, they have been splash tested for water protection.
