Safety tip 4 - Plan what you are going to cut

  • A large percentage of chainsaw accidents are caused by people tripping over branches or logs.
  • Before you start cutting clear the area of any trip hazards.
  • For cutting firewood use a saw horse, this also saves bending down and reduces the risk of running the saw chain in the dirt which will blunt the chain.
