STIHL Power Award adds to the Superbike excitement
Back this year and running throughout the 2011 British Superbike season, the ‘STIHL Power Award' adds to the excitement both on and off track.
Giving both Superbike competitors and fans the chance to win a great STIHL prize, the STIHL Power Award rewards the first rider to pass the STIHL No.1 post – located at the first intermediate checkpoint at each championship round. The Award is a fitting tribute from the high performance STIHL brand, with the first sector sprint being one of the most crucial stages of a Superbike race and the section where machines lay down optimum power.
Marked by a distinctive STIHL ‘No 1', the first past the post rider in each BSB race gains a Power Award point and joins the season-long league to win a great STIHL prize. Last season's Power Award went right to the wire and was ultimately clinched by Michael Laverty in the very final round. He chose a STIHL high pressure washer as his Power Award prize.
