STIHL petrol cut-off saws are precise, reliable and powerful. Professionals use them to cut through even the hardest materials such as asphalt and structural steel, achieving cutting depths of up to 145 mm.
Gas-powered cut-off saws from STIHL are powerful companions in construction, civil engineering and road construction, and assist garden and landscape professionals as well. These hand-guided power tools offer a wide range of applications. The use of different abrasive cutting wheels made from composite resin or diamond is recommended, depending on the material to be cut. Cut-off machines even grind through tough materials such as asphalt, steel and stone. In order to be able to carry out the work effectively and effortlessly, we pay particular attention to the ergonomics of STIHL petrol-driven cut-off machines.
The powerful output of our petrol-driven cut-off saws is provided by the STIHL 2-MIX engine, a two-stroke engine from 3.2 kW (4.4 hp). It separates emissions and fresh fuel mixture, minimising spraying losses – resulting in increased power output and reduced consumption. Selected models – those with an i in the model name – also have STIHL Injection. The electronically controlled fuel injection ensures flawless running characteristics and engine power compared with power tools without injection technology.
Thanks to their integrated decompression valve, these professional power tools take little effort to start up. Some of our models are also equipped with STIHL ElastoStart. ElastoStart is a damper in the starter grip that results in consistent start-up of the petrol-driven cut-off machine. In addition, the STIHL anti-vibration system guarantees excellent cut guidance as the special buffering and suspension result in significantly reduced transmission of engine oscillations to the user’s hands and arms – so your work is more comfortable.
In a STIHL cut-off machine, the water connection is close enough to the power tool that it does not cause any disruption during work. It is fitted as standard in all of our models and functions by means of an easily connected quick-release coupling. The infeed and quantity of water are easy to control electronically using buttons. When working, you only supply water specifically to the abrasive cutting wheel when you want to rinse and bind dust.
If the type and thickness of the material you wish to cut requires high engine performance, our 5.0 kW (6.8 hp) STIHL cut-off saw petrol is the best tool for you. It can attain cutting depths of up to 145 mm, and with a cart that is available as an optional extra, you can even convert our manual cut-off machines into an easy-to-manoeuvre wheel-mounted cutting machine. Retrofittable accessories for cut-off machines are easy to buy in the STIHL online shop.
