Get ready, Coolangatta! The Original Extreme Sport is back on the Gold Coast this time heading south to Queen Elizabeth Park, Coolangatta, for an unforgettable weekend of elite competition, adrenaline-pumping action, and festival fun.
The STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® Australian Championship is locked in for Friday 12th and Saturday 13th September 2025, featuring the Rookie, Women’s, and Pro Championships all set against the stunning coastal backdrop of Coolangatta.
The Rookie Championship kicks things off as Australia’s top six under-25 athletes compete in five disciplines: Underhand Chop, Stocksaw, Standing Block Chop, Single Buck, and One Board Tree. These rising stars will showcase raw talent and future potential in the sport.
The spotlight shifts to the Women’s Championship, where six of the best female athletes from around the country will battle it out across three disciplines, Stocksaw, Single Buck, and Underhand Chop to be crowned the 2025 Australian Women’s Champion.
Then, the main event: the Australian Pro Championship. The top 12 STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® athletes will face off in a high-stakes, three-round, six-discipline knockout competition. Athletes will compete in the Underhand Chop, Stocksaw, Standing Block Chop, Single Buck, Springboard, and finish with the spectacular Hot Saw. Expect flying chips, roaring chainsaws, and edge-of-your-seat drama as points increase with every round, and the field narrows to the top 6 contenders in the final showdown.
