Tool-less Tank Cap

The patented STIHL special fuel tank and oil tank caps are easy to open and close – without effort and without using tools. The large openings make the tanks easy to fill.

To open:

Raise the filler cap flap and then turn the filler cap anti-clockwise as far as it will go. The cap can then be removed.

Refuelling:

Refuelling:

Pour the fuel mix into the fuel tank and the chain lubricant into the oil tank. Transparent fuel tanks on machines allow you to check fuel levels at a glance.
To close:

To close:

Place the cliplock filler caps in position, turn as far as the stop and fold the cliplock down. This helps reduce the risk of incorrectly tightened filler caps, loosening and spilling fuel.
