When using other brands of battery tools, the performance can sometimes decrease during work as the battery discharges. This isn't the case with STIHL battery-powered tools. Thanks to the intelligent electronics, your tool will work with consistently high power across the entire battery charge, until there is no energy left in the battery.
RELIABLE STARTING IN COLD TEMPERATURES. Batteries only work at full power in ideal temperatures. If it is too cold, it usually takes time for the battery to warm up. Thanks to the cold start function, the tool is ready to start immediately, even at low temperatures down to -20°C, and offers almost the same output as at ideal temperatures.
SPLASHWATER PROTECTION. The IPX protection classes define the moisture protection of electrical or electronic devices. The moisture protection test is defined in different stages. IPX4 certifies protection against splashwater from all sides. Battery-powered tools with this certification are therefore designed for daily use, even in rainy conditions.
VERY LONG BATTERY LIFE. STIHL AP system batteries are extremely durable and resistant. They are designed for particularly high demands, as can typically occur in very intensive applications with high power requirements in the professional sector. Thanks to their intelligent electronics, these STIHL batteries can also be charged more often and faster than average.
OPTIMAL CONTROL THROUGH COMMUNICATION. Battery power tools, batteries and chargers from STIHL continuously exchange information with each other so that the energy supply can be optimised during work and charging. At the same time, this protects the battery from deep discharge or overcharging, guarantees thermal stability and protects the battery in the best possible way. Smart Control ensures precise monitoring and control of all important battery parameters: this means, for example, that potential overheating is detected at an early stage and the power of the battery power tool is reduced accordingly. In most cases, you can then finish the work you have started with reduced performance.
SUPPORTS BATTERY DURABILITY. Maintaining an optimal operating temperature is crucial for the most efficient operation of batteries. For this reason, air is directed through the housing to cool STIHL batteries. In addition, the cells in the battery are thermally connected in such a way that heat can be dissipated efficiently. This allows heat to be dissipated quickly and effectively, and excessive temperature differences can be avoided.
ALLPRO AP 20.1 Battery: Reliable Power for Everyday Performance
The entry-level battery in the ALLPRO System AP 20.1 is ideally suited for ambitious work in the domestic environment or for professional use and offers a good price-performance ratio. It is designed for a wide range of garden and land maintenance applications and enables efficient work with a wide range of compatible STIHL power tools.
Thanks to its robust design and proven STIHL battery technology, the battery remains reliable even in adverse conditions. It can also be used in the rain, as it is protected against splashes from all directions. The battery is therefore IPX4 certified.
With the high-speed charge function, you can reach an 80% charge level after just 25 minutes (when using the STIHL AL 1802 MO high-speed charger). This battery is designed for up to 1,200 charging cycles. The built-in power boost function automatically provides extra power for particularly demanding tasks while protecting the battery by adjusting the power output in overload situations.
