RELIABLE STARTING IN COLD TEMPERATURES. Batteries only work at full power in ideal temperatures. If it is too cold, it usually takes time for the battery to warm up. Thanks to the cold start function, the tool is ready to start immediately, even at low temperatures down to -20°C, and offers almost the same output as at ideal temperatures.
VERY LONG BATTERY LIFE. STIHL AP system batteries are extremely durable and resistant. They are designed for particularly high demands, as can typically occur in very intensive applications with high power requirements in the professional sector. At the same time, this protects the battery from deep discharge or overcharging, guarantees thermal stability and protects the battery in the best possible way. Smart Control ensures precise monitoring and control of all important battery parameters: this means, for example, that potential overheating is detected at an early stage and the power of the battery power tool is reduced accordingly. In most cases, you can then finish the work you have started with reduced performance.
SUPPORTS BATTERY DURABILITY. Maintaining an optimal operating temperature is crucial for the most efficient operation of batteries. For this reason, air is directed through the housing to cool STIHL batteries. In addition, the cells in the battery are thermally connected in such a way that heat can be dissipated efficiently. This allows heat to be dissipated quickly and effectively, and excessive temperature differences can be avoided.

Uninterrupted work with just a few packs is possible thanks to the high-speed charge function, which allows you to reach an 80% charge level after just 9 minutes (when using the STIHL AL 1802 MO high-speed charger). The power boost function in the STIHL ALLPRO AP 200.0 P battery automatically provides extra power for particularly demanding tasks. If the temperature rises or the application becomes too intensive, the system automatically reduces the power. This ensures that the battery remains protected, powerful and reliable throughout its long service life.
The IPX5-certified AP 200.0 P is ideal for work in rain and wet conditions. It also impresses with its exceptionally long service life, with more than 3,000 charge cycles (up to 3,000 charge cycles without any noticeable loss of performance. It remains usable thereafter.). Its robust housing and optimised cooling enable the battery to remain reliably operational even under intensive continuous load.
