FAST AND CONVENIENT RE-TENSIONING. The chain tension can be readjusted quickly, easily and without tools, by means of a spring mechanism. By briefly opening and closing the chain sprocket cover with the fold-out handle, the chain is automatically tensioned to the right level. Optimal chain tension not only improves cutting performance and safety, but also extends the service life of the chain through reduced wear.
EFFICIENT MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING. The chain sprocket cover is easy to unscrew and remove. You do not need any additional tools for this and you can also remove the chain sprocket cover while wearing work gloves. This means you can remove chips or dirt quickly and effectively when needed, and that maintenance or a cutting attachment change are done in no time.
FOR GOOD PLANNABILITY. At the push of a button, the LED charge-level indicator will inform you at any time about your battery’s remaining capacity. This allows you to efficiently plan working hours and charge the battery in good time.
FOR SAFE WORKING. With the protective hood over the chain, you can work effectively and as safely as possible when pruning branches or shrubs. Your view of the cuts you make remains unobstructed. The flexible, asymmetrical protective hood can be folded out to 90 degrees so that you can use the full length of the saw bar.

The STIHL GTA 30 battery pruner is ideal for domestic tree and shrub care, sawing wooden construction materials and shredding grass cuttings. The STIHL GTA 30 is also suitable for cutting thick branches and cutting deadwood into smaller quantities of firewood. Thanks to its high cutting performance, it is the optimal solution for more extensive wood cutting jobs in domestic settings. The chain tension can be adjusted quickly and without tools while working, by simply opening and closing the chain sprocket cover. The orange fold-out tensioning lever enables the correct chain tension to be set and as such facilitates quick, tool-free assembly of the cutting attachment after cleaning or chain replacement - even with gloves on.
Its very powerful EC motor and STIHL 1/4" PM3 saw chain means you are fully equipped for clean cutting and fast progress. Its integrated sprocket nose reduces friction losses and improves cutting efficiency, while two AS 2 batteries ensure plenty of reserve power so you can work for longer.
The highly visible orange controls are within easy reach for both left- and right-handed users.
