Hungry for axe-tion? STIHL Timbersports - The Original Extreme Sport - will be teaming up with Albert Park Golf Course and Greenfields to bring Melbournians a feast of extreme action, delicious food and fun for all the family. Best of all the Timber and Tucker Festival, 6th – 8th October is a free entry event for all ages!
Over 3 action packed days, witness Australia's top Pro STIHL Timbersports athletes fight tooth and nail for a spot on the all-conquering Chopperoos Team, which will head to Norway in November to defend their three consecutive World Championship titles. However, for the first time in Australian Timbersports history, it's not only the men that will be looking to claim a STIHL Timbersports crown; the sports very first Women's Championship will take centre stage on Friday, and following hot on the heels of the success of the AFLW, it's a move that has the chainsaw world buzzing.
If supporters can drag themselves away from the heart stopping action on stage, they will be able to relax and refuel in the Tucker Truck food and entertainment precinct, courtesy of the Food Truck Carnival Company. The precinct will be packed with delicious choices from iconic food trucks like Seńor Churro, White Guy Cooks Thai, Loaded - Gourmet Hotdogs and The Real Jerk just to name a few!*
The fun doesn't stop there however; the Timber and Tucker festival has something for everyone and for every taste. There's a mini kids carnival, Bathurst 1000 playing on the big screen and plenty of fun, family golf activities at Albert Park Golf Course, including a hole-in-one competition with a major cash prize up for grabs for the first person to score an ace. For those adults that would like to keep the party going, Greenfields will be open until late with music and live entertainment playing into the night.
